Fylde Coast Foods have now delivered 3,000 orders to vulnerable and isolated individuals across Lancashire, with help from their dedicated volunteers and incredible support from local support hubs. You'll not only find that the volunteers are delivering groceries but also making sure their local residents have everything they need while in shielding. One lady Margaret B says "I wish to thank you very much for your help in getting my shopping for me and delivering it to my door. You are very kind, I don't know how to thank you, words are not enough."
We have decided to continue our service until further notice making sure that none of our local residents are stuck without groceries or essentials. It has been a tough time for everyone but as we all come together and do our best for the community we will get through this pandemic.
Our Team Leader, Founder Tom Hilton says "There is a real need for the service that we provide and it is our responsibility to make sure that this service continues, as long as it carries on supporting the local residents. Understandably, lockdown and isolation advice will soon be completely lifted but there are still customers asking us to keep going as this service has been a life line for them and personally I will not want to let them down. Thanks to the entire team at Fylde Coast Foods this amazing work has been recognised by many."
If you are looking to join Fylde Coast Foods as a volunteer during the lockdown or after to continue carrying and providing for the community please visit our Volunteer page to join.
We are also needing your help, we cannot run a not for profit organisation without your support and you can contribute via our contribute to the Fylde Coast link in the menu on our website.
Thank you, Fylde Coast Foods
